Agar Grove wins two prestigious awards
Bertie worked on the master-planning and first two stages of Agar Grove in Camden, London.
This is a landmark scheme for low energy social housing.
With 500 homes, 350 to Passivhaus, it is one of the UK's largest and tallest Passivhaus projects. Bertie has been involved as MEP consultant and Passivhaus planner in a hands-on capacity for over 6 years; from concept all the way through to delivery and occupation of stage 1, including gaining valuable learning from the Post Occupancy feedback workshops.
Today we were delighted to learn that the scheme has won two awards at the prestigious London Planning Awards:
The Mayor’s Award for Sustainable and Environmental Planning* - Winner- Agar Grove Estate
The Mayor’s Award for Good Growth – Winner- Agar Grove Estate
*Agar beat White Collar factory to win this, this is exciting as I very much respect what AHMM & their team delivered at the White Collar factory. It is testament to just how innovative and underplayed Agar Grove is, as it doesn't wear its sustainable credentials on its sleeve!
